    Ruger No1 wish list

OK what No1 would you like Ruger to build?
I figure a sure seller would be a stainless 30-06 International with black laminated stock.

They need to bring back a heavy barreled version and offer it in many calibers rather than just 25-06 and it must have a regular or a Varmint type fore end and trash the Alexander Henry one. Nuff said.

6.5x55, light contour barrel. Would be a flawless gentleman's hunting iron... actually I'm pretty sure they've done it before.

Although I must say, the one I have now in .45-70 is nearly perfect, so long as your quarry isn't more than about 150 meters away. It carries, points and shoots well beyond my expectations.

303 British or 30-40 Krag International would be cool.

I can think of a number of cartridges I would like. As for the finish, I would like to see a RUST blued steel in a fine walnut. Likely with a banded front sight and simple rear that needs to be filed to sight in with replacement leaves that can be bought from NECG.

Candidate cartirdges could be 7x57, 404 jeff, 416 rig, 45/70 and many more. FRANKLY, a neat little cartridge would be Hubel's 58 cal with the slow twist barrel for minnies and pellet black powder sub. Or Just stick with 1F Holy Black.

Nothing that could not be built myself given sufficient motivation.

One of the old Buffalo calibers would be fun. 45-120, or one of the 50 cal's

The tang safety bolt action M77 like they use to build.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

I would just like them to make them like they used to (I have one from '76) - regardless of caliber.

but would love to get a hold of a .357 one.

I'll take the rust blue and fine walnut, sporter weight chambered in 7x57without that ugly Alex Henry forearm.

Another cool one would be a Varminter in 225 Winchester.
