Winchester introduced stainless barrels in 1926 with the Model 54. The barrels were coated with "Japan Black", but it wasn't very durable, Hoppes would take it off. Stainless barrels were made for all models and calibers, including shotguns. There are no records indicating how many were produced in stainless for any of the models.
