I had a Remington 700 in 300 BLK - heavy 16" bbl, brake & HS stock. Never really warmed up to it, the rate of twist was 1 in 7" and my choice of bullets tended to be of the 110 to 135 weight. The rifle is being converted to a 6X45.
I've also used an Encore barrel, shot well. It's a really polite little plinker round although I'm not quite sure what purpose it serves out of a bolt. being fun seems enough reason, I suppose.GOA Member & SAF Life MemberComment

Get a bull barrel .223 MVP and upsize it to .300BlksigpicComment

Heck yeah, I get to sling 155gr and 230gr slugs and keep the steel ringing without much damage to my wallet. Very fun cartridge once you get all the gear set up to make brass and reload. Wouldn't be having much fun if I was shooting $1/round factory ammo
