    Mossberg MVP .300 blk

I've been looking at a bolt gun in 300 blk. I'm looking to separate from my work and relocate out of state in the next five years so I've been buying toys with an aim toward stuff I can have fun with in OR or ID.

Mossberg MVP seems like a great affordable option, I can't find it in stock anywhere! It was just launched about 18 months ago, did it get discontinued already?

7.62x39 would be a much better caliber if they made it.

The only MVPs I've heard of are 223 and 308. I think H&R makes a Handi Rifle in 300BLK.

        Me too.
        H&R makes a 30-30 that would be better than both 7.62x39 & 300BLK.

Looks like it is out of stock. Mossberg may have a difficult time keeping up with demand? Maybe send them an email to find out they are still making them?

I have .308 predator with 18 1/2 barrel and love it.

For others looking at this I didn't realize the savage got hunter was threaded. I like the mags on the mossberg in 300(AR) but have a lot of 308 ammo on hand and can always load subsonic 308, leaning that way.

Ruger just announced an American Rifle in 300 BLK. They call it the Ranch.

I dont know if it's a typo or not but that Ruger says it sports a rotary magazine! 10/22 and Savage 99 throwback!

I'm on the fence, I really like the fact .300 blk subsonic ammo is readily available at half the price of .308, and the firearms is lighter/smaller. But I love me a good savage rifle and the option of torching off some full power .308 is a plus. Decisions, decisions.

Right on! Looks like a handy rifle but not sure if it'd be any lighter than my AR with optics. Hope they start hitting the shelves

I've got a couple of AR's in 5.56. I'm actually more of a rimfire and C&R guy, just thought it'd be a fun gun to mess around with and I'm lazy and don't want to build another lower up. I know what you're gonna say, "Just swap uppers." Everytime I've bought an upper for that purpose it sits in my safe and bugs me until I buy a lower to throw it on.

Just curious. I had a bolt 300Blk for a while, even in Cali it is still a cool little round. Lots of fun and variety for a hand loader. Id stick with a 700-AAC or rebarrel a savage action. You can get a McGowen prefit in stainless threaded muzzle for like $250 shipped.

I have 2 300blk AR's but wouldn't mind getting a bolt action or single shot in the same caliber. Some of my 230gr loads don't cycle well if I use the wrong powder, that wouldn't be an issue with a manual rifle.

Been shooting a MVP in 300BLK for, well I guess it's been over a year now. Pretty cool. Great because obviously you just use Pmags/Lancer/GI mags.
