I have 2 ross schuler brakes. You cant beat the price and they work great.

Measure your barrel dia and drop him an email with cartridge and barrel dia, he'll tell you what brake you need.

    I couldnt recommend him more.

The FTE looks and works very well, but its HEAVY and expensive.

I switched out my Miculek brake for an SJC Titan on my AR308. Works great. Makes heads turn at the range too.

JEC Custom brake is what a lot of competitors use. I'd look at that or Ross Schuler brake.

You measure the diameter of your barrel 5/8" behind the muzzle.
Then, you email him to place an order and he tells you how much to send via paypal.

Tag for less recoil and more noise to the left and right!

Few of the guys hit on the nail, and I personally recommend you get the Ross Schuler Brake, its the best bang for buck possible.

I have one on my rifle Randall installed, it is outstanding and really helps with the recoil. I used a micrometer from HB to measure my barrel, easy to do, and the brake came fast as well.

I put it on all my 308 bolts and Semis

And noise? I don't hear any more noise than a gun going off already.

If you might leave CA one day for a suppressor OK state, how about he it threaded 5/8x24 with cap, then use an easily removable one like MRAD rapid or Badger Mini-FTE. APA is pending release of a very slick looking Gen 2 Bastard brakes.

I wish poeple would stop saying stuff like this.

PWS has managed to pack some crack cocaine into their product that makes folks believe they're great. They are outperformed by almost everything on the market... even the cheapo generic tubes with holes poked in them have been shown to be better at recoil attenuation. You'll have to to the research to find the actual tests... not the forum blog feedback stuff.
