    Which brake for 308?

I've been interested in getting a brake for my 20" 308 lately, any suggestions?

I like the badger FTE but I want to know is there anything else out there?

I want a brake to ground my rifle, not make a lot of noise and bounce it around

I think every brake makes noises. I own PWS FSC30 and PWS PRC. They are great!

There is no such thing as a rifle brake that does not increase noise.

Is your barrel threaded? For a 20" I personally like something slimmer profile... like a Surefire brake.

I love the PWS but my next one is going to be the terminator T2 or T3. Look it up on youtube and you will know why!

Yea there is, a ****ty brake lol

Second the Surefire. Been pretty happy with the JP Cooley on my LR308 as well. But if I could do it again the surefire would probably look better with about the same performance. YMMV.

It going to take some gunsmithing to get the shoulder cut for the FTE.

            Is your barrel already threaded?

              let me make that clear

I just don't want a muzzle brake that makes noise, I want a muzzle brake that makes noise AND performs well

and no not threaded, I'll have to get that done...

Heres what it will look like when you get your barrel turned down/threaded for the FTE. Some guys dont like the look if you run it without a brake.

I was going to get this brake:

But, I got lucky, and found someone to make and install a custom brake for only $100:

                  Works great!

Ross brakes are the best for the money by far. But the JP Recoil Eliminator is still my favorite.

no where do I go to order if I was going to get one?

and what exactly am I measuring?
