Got the UMOS to the range -- Former Marine and 3-Gun Nation host Amy Jane took it for a ride -- leaving the recoiled spring in the buttstiock makes return of pump very positive

      That's a Trijicon VCOG

Am I missing something here? Why in the world would someone want to take a beautiful semi-auto platform and change it into a pump action?

Is this a "roll over to the CA politicians" move or something?

because sometimes rules of competition or laws of the state prohibit semi-auto function.

Sorry, no pics, but I did put around 500 rounds thru mine. The action is very sooth. Left the rifle length spring in the stock and it goes quickly and smoothly into battery with little effort on the part of the operator. I installed a set of DD iron sights on it, I think this is worthy of a good scope, that's next. It did well, 75 yards, 18 inch paper, hit the red and kept the grouping within the next two lines out, 10 and 9 in the circles....sorry, I don't do much paper shooting, mostly objects.

It's amazing how clean the firearm stays with no gasses back in the receiver!

That thing looks awesome! Are follow up shots quick with the pump setup since recoil is even more manageable?

This past weekend we were able to put it in the hands of some professional shooters...One is current world champion open revolver shooter and the other is a 9 time limited revolver champion. Both are also 3 gun shooters ranked master or better. They were going back and forth with the pump and were able to make .3 second splits on a clock. We've yet to see more than 3 rounds per second... but that's still pretty fast. Accurate hits were possible at .4 to .5 second splits.

                      So... yeah, pretty fast.

recoil is not noticeably different from a semi-auto.

And the key is -- Flash suppressor! Pistol grip! Folding/collapsible stock -- and NO BULLET BUTTON.

I, for one, happen to think that one of the coolest aspects of the AR platform is how customizable it is. And I love that people want to push the limits of that ability, to see if it truly can be all things to all people.

Given enough disposable income, I would absolutely own one of these. And a shotgun upper. And a crossbow upper. And on and on and on ...

                              YOU get it.
Having a pump upper doesn't eliminate your semi auto upper -- it adds a new upper! And I've used that crossbow upper and it ROCKS. I just got called from a big time weapons guy in Texas (where they can own anything) and he was all excited because he heard that there were AR pumps coming out -- he LOVES the reliability of his Winchester pump shotguns and Remington 7000 series rifles -- he was getting a boner for this.

And he hadn't seen the pics of Amy yet!
