I'm running a 2X Nikon LER pistol scope on mine. It would be murder on hogs

IMO the Leverevolution rounds have a nice snappy kick to them. The push of the heavy bullets doesn't seem to bother me much.

I'd say you did fine.
I paid 777.00 out the door for a new 1895 GBL in Feb. Fit and finish is very nice. I believe Remington turned the corner on the quality of their Marlin leverguns a couple years ago. Enjoy your new rifle.

I didn't know Burris made a 2-7X32 IER scope. I'll have to look into that...
