Axis if you must, spend a little more and get a savage 110 with accutriger, spend a little more and get a rem700 -
You're asking whether you should buy a savage axis, or a turd that happens to shoot bullets. A quick google search about the 770 should make it very obvious how much of a piece of junk it is. If you want a remington, get a 700, otherwise get just about anything else.Comment

I hear this frequently
In spite of their low price, I seem to hear this from every Axis owner. If you are going the Axis route, pay a few more dollars and get the Axis II. It comes with the Accutrigger and a Nikon Prostaff scope.
I don't own a Savage but it's on the list to purchase. I think I'm going with the Trophy Hunter in cal .308.sigpic

Get the Savage axis. I have one in .308 and I love it. Replace a trigger spring with a shorter one, or cut a coil on the stock one and the trigger is much improved. Or like posted spend a little more and get a axis 2. The 770 is junkWelcome to OT, where hypocrisy is King, outrage is Queen and the Kingdom is on the shores of the Denial River.

Check this one out as well. I got my son one in '06. Very nice shooters.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

Only thing is that I do not think its out yet. Could be wrong. In spite of their low price, I seem to hear this from every Axis owner. If you are going the Axis route, pay a few more dollars and get the Axis II. It comes with the Accutrigger and a Nikon Prostaff scope.
