Rem 700. I love my Axis, but it is just a budget rifle. With a couple tweaks its a great shooter. The rem 700 blows it away in accessories though. When I was looking at bolt actions the Axis costed me $275 with a cheap Bushnell scope. The rem 700 was over $500 with no scope. For my needs the Axis does just fine, but if they wouldve been $50-100 different in price, I wouldve gone Remington.Welcome to OT, where hypocrisy is King, outrage is Queen and the Kingdom is on the shores of the Denial River.

+1 for the Remington 700. I have a Savage Axis .223 and I'm not really happy with it. I bought it because it was inexpensive. I will eventually build a bolt action upper for one of my AR's.Comment
