    Savage 1899

    I have an early pre world war 1 savage 1899 takedown in 250-3000. It's one of the most practical hunting lever guns developed. I've reloaded LF ammo for it and have had good luck so far. Great for the CA deer.

        that looks pretty identical to mine, except the original owner removed and lost the rear sight. I have a Weaver K4, with bell on front so it did not clear sight(rifle is as it was bought in 1956).

        It is a real nice shooter.
