Of course, Earl Warren walked, WALKED from the wondow, down the stairs, and into the lunch room in well under 90 seconds.

Of course, Warren was 72 and Oswald was 24 or so. Surely I can't be the only person who thought to look into that "fact" that was so important to so many.

This was of course shortly after the Bay of Pigs and his desire to project the appearance of openess and accountability - neither of which especially occurred by the way. Context is important. Requires a bit more thought, for some folks that's an issue.

I may be a bit off with my numbers, but something like 45 organizations and 250 people have supposedly been "the conspirators" over the past 50 years. I disagree with your premise - that a person must disprove a negative. When a person makes an asssertion, whether it's about guns, politics, football or a husband's infidelity the person making the assertion bears the burden of providing proof. In this instance, you would be required to prove the President made the statement.

That used to be a pretty easy endeavor. Producing a tape or White House transcript. But it's more of a challenge today because anyone can put anything they like on a website and make it look real.

Personal memory can be unreliable, especially some 50 years down the road. But having on occasion been in the audience or assembly when the President spoke the quote simply doesn't ring true. I could be wrong and am open to correction.
