The WWG Trigger Happy Kit is a great mod, but I'd skip the reduced hammer spring and WWG ejector. The reduced hammer spring is a crap shoot; sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't (light primer strikes), and it really isn't needed if you do some basic polishing of the internal parts. And the factory ejector works fine; I've never heard of it being the cause of a problem. You can always try both (neither are expensive) but if you are on a budget this is where you can cut things out.

Both Burris and Leupold make great scout scopes with the Burris being a little less money.

To convert to the straight stock can be costly. You'll need a lever, trigger plate and stock, none of which are cheap. You may be able to find someone willing to trade with you (check on MarlinOwners.com).

10-4 on the scout scope recommendations. I'll give them a look-see.

And thanks for the other mod suggestions that have been mentioned. I'm finishing up an internal part fluff and buff. The action is already about 20-30% smoother. Next up is probably a lever wrap, and my scope. From there i'm going to run it hard and put some rounds downrange with the new optic setup.
