Meaningless fact that for some reason people here keep repeating like they think it invalidates the MASSIVE additional intrusion that is registering long guns. Yes. They know you have handguns. they don't know what ELSE you have. NOW they will. That is a BIG difference.
There is a difference between "that guy owns guns" and "That guy own ten rifles and here's the calibers, and serial numbers. Go pick them up."Comment

Well, they're going to have their work cut out for them. From 1991 to 2011, over 9 million guns were sold legally in the state of California. These figures don't include guns brought into the state legally from other states, those passed down generationally, and, of course, those sold illegally in the state, and (obviously) guns purchased or brought into the state prior to 1991. In addition, I suspect that quite a few more guns were sold legally in the last 2-1/2 years to add to these totals. They're going to have quite a time with their collection efforts. Even if you assume that they don't know about the unregistered guns, they're going to have a lot of "picking up" to do.Meaningless fact that for some reason people here keep repeating like they think it invalidates the MASSIVE additional intrusion that is registering long guns. Like I said before, OP, enjoy your new rifle. It's a beauty! And nothing beat a lever action for pure fun.Last edited by Mayor McRifle; 04-28-2014, 3:38 PM.Anchors Aweigh
