Just bought my first registered gun :/

It's a stainless Rossi 92 in 357 mag. I had to get it because my grandfather said he would go half and half on it (he almost NEVER does that) so what choice did I have? All of my previous guns are not registered and now I have one that is...kinda makes me more sick then excited. Am I crazy?

Lol no it's not that, I guess they already have all of my info anyway so what's the difference? Plus when I move out of commiefornia won't the registration not matter anymore?

The very principle of having to register any gun makes me sick.

        This is America.

No, you've just been conditioned to be irrationally paranoid. Enjoy your new gun.

When you register anything you turn over title/ownership to another entity, you are only entrusted with its safe keeping and use until this is revoked.

Just like our registered baby certificates.

If you bought a handgun in the past 23 years, you already have a registered gun.

I'm going to sell all of my registered guns when I leave the state.

If you ever posted on a gun forum, you're already "on the list" so, owning a "registered firearm" is only going to bump you up a few places on that list.

You have no handguns purchased in CA?

You heard the man. He only owns one rifle and that's it!

Could you explain this? Right now it just sounds like more FUD, but I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt.

I share your disgust with long gun registration. It is completely unnecessary for any purpose other than ban/confiscation.

With that said, long gun registration is here, and you can either be comfortable with whatever you currently own and deny yourself the right to purchase new rifles, or deal with it and exercise your right to acquire new long arms.

Congrats on the new rifle and not letting CA dictate what you will own. Oh and post pics! It's already registered, don't hide it from us! Plus DOJ needs a picture for your file lol

                              Your Grandfather is smart....

                              Carbine or rifle?
