New Mossberg MVP Patrol 308 owner

Proud new owner of a Mossberg MVP Patrol 308. I finally mounted a Falcon Menace 4-14 x 44mm FFP scope with Enhanced Mil Dot Reticle (SWFA.com) in Medium TPS TSR "W" rings. I put on a Caldwell XLA fixed 6-9 bipod, Mossy Oak 1.25" sling swivel set and a black/ACU digital paracord sling from Para-Cord-Belts (check it out on Amazon.com)

Here are pictures of the magazines I will be using. From right to left:
Mossberg factory 10 round (pretty solid fit in magwell)
Magpul 10LR/SR Gen 3 10 round (very loose fit and lots of movement side to side and front to back)
Checkmate Industries M1/M14 20 round (solid fit in magwell).








I just finished my PVC target stand today




Hopefully I can get out and shoot soon. Range report to follow.

Can't see your pictures, but I have patrol in 5.56 and I really like it. I handled one in .308 at my LGS and I really liked that too but had to draw the line because it's too similar to my GSR.

How much was that rifle? I know Mossberg has upped their game big time lately in the centerfire scene. I paid damn near $1000 for my GSR so I was just wondering what the realistic going rate is for one of those mossbergs in CA now.

Best local quote (for me in SD anyway) on Gallery of Guns is $552.19, with 2 available. High quote was $602. That's without fees or sales tax, but you should be able to find an OTD price of $650 or under.
