1lb 10 oz for me. It's really easy, you just need to turn the screw in - it may have a lock nut that needs loosenig first. Just don't mess with any other screws.

If you have 5 guns all set at 3 pounds and one set at 1.5 pounds you probably won't like the lighter pull weight.

I have a 2 pound trigger on my hunting rifle and my father thinks the safety is always on or the trigger is broken because he is used to shooting extremely light triggers.

Triggers and scopes seem to be the two things on rifles that come down to personal choice.
      This.

I had Tom Manners install my Timney on my 700 when I was getting my new stock. He was showing it to me when I came to pick it up and he said, with hesitation, that the trigger was "ehh alright". Probably could be a little lighter.

I love the way it's set (2.5#) but he's a benchrest guy so he's used to very light triggers.

I have most of mine set at around 2.5 but I wouldn't have a problem with 3 to 4 lbs.
