I saw the pic before I read the post and thought "that floor looks like MBR." Heh.

I wish I had the funds for another purchase before the end of the year...

Better question is, who doesn't like lever guns?

I guess I've got a liking for the "odd" lever actions. Marlin Cowboy Deluxe in 45 Colt and a 32 H & R Magnum, Savage 99 in 300 Savage, Winchester 88 in 308 and just grabbed a Browning 71 Deluxe in 348 Winchester.

          .
Ahhhh! What a neat shooter. Recoil is a gentler push than my shotguns, a wee bit more than my 7.62 X 39 bolt carbine.

I kept things mostly in the middle of the zones I was aiming at. Lighting directly over the bench is poor compared to downrange at the indoor range and I was not seeing the rear sight as well as I'd have liked when focusing on the front sight.

Brought my 1911 "Loaded" along as a nod to Sherriff Walt Longmire. Hahaha...

Fun day at the range, for sure!

Gonna try to get to my favorite outdoor range later this week.

          :-)

My step dad recently picked up a 1970 (no tang safety) top-eject Model 94 in .30-30. Cool little gun... haven't got a chance to shoot it yet but it's basically brand new; you can't even tell it's 44-years-old.

I really need to pick up a Mare's Leg in .357mag so I can shoot .38 all day.

                Thanks, fellrz!

H20 MAN, why do you say that? That gun is very cool.

anti, one of the most fun days I had at the range was when shooting a buddies' .357 Marlin lever carbine. Easy, accurate, awesome. I'd sport on of those before a mare's leg, but to each his own!

                Thanks for your kind replies.

After twenty something years, I still kick myself for letting go my Browning model 92 in .357mag. Biggest mistake I ever made. I keep looking for one online, but they're rare as hen's teeth. Last auction went for well over $1100
