    Barrel
Randall doing the chamber job and profiling the thing (ball parking what he'd charge you because I don't know exactly) would be around $400. Totally worth it. The triggers on the older 700s are supposed to be better than the new ones anyway. If you sell it you will get around $400 for it, then you have to buy one in what you want for around $700 + tax + dros, so maybe $880. Barrel quality is important but chambering job is also important. You'd be spending the same money to get a Remington factory job or a Randall custom job. That's a no brainer.

Old things have stories. Keep old things working.
weg: That device is obsolete now. They replaced it with wizards.
frank: Wait a minute. There are more than one wizard? Is [are?] the wizard calibrated?

I charge $200 to break down a rifle and thread/chamber/crown a profiled blank.
      Profiled blanks start around $100.
