    Completely agree. That’s why I really dig a fully featured rifle built with lightweight parts. It’s kinda a weird subsection of rifles because traditional hunters don’t get it. It’s not lighter than their old skinny barreled wood stocked Winchester. But it’s a completely different shooting experience.

      I clearly remember the pulp guns & hunting magazines of the late 70s constantly running articles and advertisements on light weight rifles.
      You couldn't give away a 1950s pre64 bolt action wood stock rifle. Original K98s bring backs and 90% plus '06 Springfields were all equally
      worthless because they were too heavy to blast Bambi with.

      I can appreciate custom rifles. How many 'custom' rifles evolved into standard rifles? A lot. No need to get defensive about it.
