I'm sorry to hear about your dog. That is disheartening.

But this thread is about two of my favorite things, Marlins and dogs.

It's going to be a hunting rifle for my son. I had this Burris scope laying around and it's going to make it much easier for me to shoot ...

      I figured WTF

It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

I wouldn't mind having one; but it is quadruple the price (if I remember correctly) of the Marlin 336's in the 1980's at full retail and more than double the price of used Marlin 336's a couple of years ago. I'm not sure I could justify the expense and, for now, know that I can't.

But, if you like it and have the money... Enjoy.

I recall paying $207 for my Blackhawk in 86...it's the cost of labor and materials..

I've searched for a good 336 for under 1k and just haven't found one...I honestly believe that the Ruger built Marlins are the best Marlins ever built . Plus, I wanted a new gun.

                  Thank brother..

It seems like she's getting better. That Giardia stuff is some work to get rid of.

Is that the old Lytle Creek shooting area Mark?

Sure brings back some memories... man, 40+ freaking years ago.

That rifle looks super nice. How's the checkering? LOVE a checkered 336.

I have to deliver an AR to a buddy on Monday so I'm going to shoot it again, along with a few other ARs I built and haven't shot yet.

This Giardia stuff that the puppy has is killing me. She's done with her meds but her poops are the same, just not 10x a day like it was.

F#c$en POS vet really pissed me off. She's healthy, it's just her poops. I've cleaned everything and everything 10x. The wife says I'm expecting too much too fast.

I can't pick up her poops, they're too watery. I have to flush them into the grass like I've been doing for a month.

Needless to say this vet is history.

If you have any tips to get her to stop biting please PM me. She's a herding dog so I get the ankle biting, but man, she just won't stop.

I?ve had 2 pups that had Giardia. One cleared up pretty fast. The pup we have now had to go through two cycles of medication and now she?s clear of it. Not to tell you what to and you may be doing it but I bleached the area she pooped in everyday. I used outdoor bleach I bought at Home Depot in a sprayer. Good luck.

lol, no man, that place has been taken over by the forest service....I think. I was up there when it was a zoo a couple times...

So you know where old route 66 runs through the Cajon pass, rignt? It's about 2 miles north of the Kenwood turnoff on old 66. Your pretty much shooting in the direction of the 15 freeway. It's called Route 66 Shooting Park.

I hate to kill the nice spring lawn I have now I have read that the parasite doesn't live very long in the sun and warmer weather we've been having. Her poops are starting to look normal, she finished her meds last Saturday morning. I'm going to take a poop sample of each dog in at the end of the week.

                        Thank you for the info
