    Ruger Made Marlin 336c

Hey fellas, sorry to leave you hanging. I had a small emergency with our puppy (changing vets NOW)

I lucked out, Brett at 2AZONE was able to get me one pretty quick. He/they always come through for me. The price on the box is $1099.99..or $1000.00 using my wife's numbers

The fit and finish is better than my newer Winchester 92. It cycles ammo as smooth as can be. It's just a little sticky to start the lever. I'm sure that will smooth out with time.

It's a beautiful well built gun. Ruger really stepped up making these new Marlin's.

As the man says. "Get you some"

FWIW, I measured trigger pull today. It averaged 4.8#..a little heavy but nice and crisp. I'm gonna check out Route 66 shooting park tomorrow. It's so close to me yet I've never been.

            She seems okay. Thank you...

We rescued her from the shelter early Feb, we sent in a stool sample a few weeks later. Her poops have always looked like plops.

Apparently she tested positive for Giardia. The vet said he tried calling for a week and gave up (wife's voice mail is always full) yet I've been there 3 times since then for Vax and boosters for the same puppy. Not one word from them until I called today because of her plops...

They came up with every excuse they could think of...it's all BS.

We've got another dog plus the grandkids living here.

            We're done with that place...

Nice looking rifle. I use Ontario veterinary, my dogs use the back entrance because I get nervous with my Husky Pit mix around other people's animals.

Beautiful 336. I have a couple old ones from the 1970's, one in .30-30 and one in .35 Remington. Been waiting to see the new ones to decide if I wanted to get one.

Sorry to hear about the puppy. When I got my new lab puppy he had giardia too. Can take a while to clear that bug out - it's a nasty one. Had to put my other dog on the meds to as a precaution to keep him from getting it too. Your little girl will be OK, just takes a while to clear all that out.

Would definitely look for a new vet.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate all the support. Our other dog doesn't seem infected.

Once I get another vet I'll have him checked out as well.

Russian Bot, I'll check them out for sure. I assume your happy with them.
Is it the one on East E Street ?

We did the doggy DNA on her. She's 1/3 Siberian husky, 1/3 GSD and 1/3 Belgium Shepherd...give or take a few points.

Oh my!! Am I stepping on my own thread

                      Thanks Lance...

I'm hoping that every lever gun enthusiasts will take a look at these.

There's good news. The price is dropping fast on these guns.

Hey fellas, I went to the Route 66 Shooting Park this morning. I thought $36.00 for a 50 yard private range was pretty good ($36.00 per person gives you the private range for 2hrs and then access to the rest of the park)

Oh! And you can use steel targets in some of the private ranges.

I don't know if you can see it in the picture but the range was full of brass. There was so much bass that there was no way I would have been able to pickup everything in my bay in a day. 45acp, 223/556, 9mm, 10mm, 7.62/39...it was everywhere. The side burms had 12/18" weeds growing on em. There were tons of brass hiding in the weeds. It was pretty crazy. The Range officer didn't care one bit either.

The new Marlin performed like a dream. I started out with some 150gr Fed Fusion. It did okay but it's hard for me. My eyes don't see the sights or the target very well. I got it on paper and then switched over to Hornady LEVERevolution 160 gr FTX. The picture below shows my last 5 shots from 43 yards.

The trigger is really good and it cycled ammo perfect. The empties dropped right at my feet.

This isn't my first 30-30. I had a Winchester 94AE that was just beautiful. It just didn't perform very well for me..I really do like this gun. I'm glad I waited. It's pretty bad for a 30-30 to out shoot my Henry Long Ranger 308.

I think this with be a good starter hunting rifle for Cole.

It's really a good gun. I can only imagine how well it would shoot if I could see the sights and target. I'm going to change the rear sight tonight. (I hate to do that to this one)

I have to deliver an AR to a buddy on Monday so I'm going to shoot it again, along with a few other ARs I built and haven't shot yet.

This Giardia stuff that the puppy has is killing me. She's done with her meds but her poops are the same, just not 10x a day like it was.

F#c$en POS vet really pissed me off. She's healthy, it's just her poops. I've cleaned everything and everything 10x. The wife says I'm expecting too much too fast.

I can't pick up her poops, they're too watery. I have to flush them into the grass like I've been doing for a month.

Needless to say this vet is history.

If you have any tips to get her to stop biting please PM me. She's a herding dog so I get the ankle biting, but man, she just won't stop.
