    Value question lever action...

I have a early 1970's Winchester model 94 SRC chambered in 44 Remington mag. in excellent like new condition.

Anyone have an idea what its fair value range might be?

    Thanks...

I'd say $1,000-1,500 is a good starting area.
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

I forgot to include in the description that it is a Saddle Ring Carbine. Does that change your estimate?

        That's what SRC means

If you said .357 it might change the estimate...

Just throw it up for 1.5k and see what happens.

OUCH!! I would love to buy guns for current market and sell them for your estimates. Blue book for a 100% top eject post 64 gun is around $600. Ad a few bucks for CA foolishness, and a few more for panic times. Still not 1500!!I know money is worthless, but jeez!

If it were a 92 then maybe, but those darn 94s in 44 mag just don't get it. Frankly, I don't know why Winchester wasted their time making them.... this is my opinion..

^^^^ You wouldn't make any money and apparently, according to Gun broker, don't know what you are talking about in this case...
Another Calgunner advised me that to see finished auctions on "advanced search" function you need to be a GunBroker member. I joined and found the following information:

The last three auctions of late 60's / early 70's std eject Model 94's in excellent unmolested condition:

I agree. I acquired a LNIB Browning B-92 in .44 mag and no longer need the Winchester 94 in .44 mag.

I'd love to buy them for that price too, because I will sell them at my price.

Can't go wrong with the Browning. I sure know enough to not spend that kind of dough for a 94 in a pistol caliber.

Actually, no...another Calgun member PM'd me the suggestion on how to access historical data on GunBroker and I invested the 1/2 hr in joining and doing the research.

Thanks for your responses as well..
