The nice thing about the clamp-on brakes is if you miss the shot, you still have a second chance of taking down your quarry when the brake flies downrange.

You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.
      Come on...what harm??

What gun do you have that does not have a tapered barrel or threads?

Non-tapered barrels (AR/AK/FAL/HK/SCAR etc) typically have threads.
Most sporting bolt actions have tapered barrels but no threads.

About the clamp on muzzle brakes - definitely go threaded. There is a heat and clamp brake sold and I’ve seen on fly down range. Remember lots of heat comes out of the barrel especially when shooting long strings. If your clamp on muzzle brake moves just a tad it will change the harmonics of your barrel, when it flies off it will definitely change the recoil characteristics of your rifle.

Make 2 measurements with a caliper or micrometer 2" apart.
One about 1/2" behind the muzzle and the 2nd measurement 2-1/2" behind the muzzle.
If the 2-1/2" measurement is larger than the 1/2" measurement, your barrel is tapered.

That's amazing work! I can hardly see the joint- if you told me that the brake had been milled into the barrel, I would never had noticed.

Randall threaded and installed a brake on 2 of my rifles both came out amazing but they are loud as hell when you shoot. Highly recommend Randall
