I've never heard of a Sunday rifle in 64 years. What is a Sunday rifle?

i assume that means rent a shooting bay at the local range and shoot some stuff at less than 50 yards.

Wow, I wish we had something like that nearby. At any given time there are 3 to 6 bays at the local range that are empty, but we can't use them unless we're an official club RO.

Thinking about selling these two because they are safe queens.

Going to get me a Sunday gun. Looking at Winchester Model 70 super grade maple in 308.

I am guilty of wanting things just to have but never really shoot. I personally think many rifles are like works of art.

I built/had built a long range rifle a couple of years back and shot about 100 rounds through it and put it back in the safe. It's so PURDAY!! 6mm creedmoor.

I would Keep the cetme and dump the howa. Check the marketplace to see what they are selling for

I did the search that Hermosabeach recommended and found closed auctions for the c308 and that was helpful.

On the other hand, did a search for completed/closed auctions for the Howa and got a goose egg. I'm wondering if this is a sign?

a "safe queen" is a firearm you would bang, with no pointy elbows.

I never heard the term Sunday Gun until OP used that term. Safe Queen , I have heard often and is a common term for the prized possession gun that does not see much or any use at all. I have been involved in hunting and shooting sports for the past 30 years and I guess I missed the Sunday Gun term along the way, or it is a term used by a few I have not encountered.

Barbque gun same thing as Sunday gun? Barbque gun usually refers to handguns though. Engraved, ivory/stagg grips, high polish blue etc. Plus nice leather.
