Thinking about thinning out the safe for different rifle

So what do you guys think my 2 rifles are worth?

1) Howa Varminter Supreme in SS 308. Has probably 40 rounds through it. Sighted it in and then took it for a pig hunt. Killed a pig and put it back in the safe. It has the Gray/Green pepper laminate stock. I also purchased the detach mag kit for it with both a 10 and 5 round magazine. The rifle shoots better than my skills.

2) Cetme C308. All black. Has probably 60 rounds through it. Probably less. I sent it to a guy to have the trigger smoothed out, recoil reduction, and button mag release done. Bill Springfield i think was his name. Great guy and great work.

What do you all think each rifle is worth?

This is so you can buy the long range rifle?

You can start out with the Howa, just to see if you like long range. It sounds like it has a decent stock and somewhat heavy barrel. With good 175 gr bullets you've probably got a decent 1000 yard gun. Do you have a decent scope on it?

I've never heard of a Sunday rifle in 64 years. What is a Sunday rifle?

Bull Elk, a Sunday Gun / Sunday Rifle is when you have the boys over for a BBQ on a Sunday and you ask the boys, "you guys want to see something cool?"

Then you bring out the work of art. Whether it be a long range or a hunting rifle. It's your Gucci gun. Beautiful and or rare. Pass it around and ask them not to drool on your work of art.

THAT'S a Sunday gun.

Ah, right, I got my threads confused.

Yes, the Maple Super Grade IS a work of art. Partly because nobody makes guns with maple stocks any more. You'll want to keep it in a sock so that other guns don't scratch it by accident.

When I bring this Winchester Model 63 out, people either respond with, "How beautiful!" or "You ruined a collectible!" I inherited it, and the wood is beautiful, the checkered steel buttplate and pistol grip cap are mated perfectly to the stock. The vintage Weaver 2.5X scope is mounted perfectly using the rear sight dovetail for the front ring. It shoots minute of rabbit head at 50 yards.

That's my other rule...... one safe. It's a BIG safe, but only one. If it gets too full, I inventory for stuff I don't use or lost interest in, and sell them off.

i would think the howa is still worth about what you paid, and it should be pretty accurate with that heavish barrel.
