Henry Model X Scout Scope Rail?

Does anyone know if there is a scout scope rail for the Henry Big Boy X 357? I like the scout scope rail on the Marlins, but can't seem to find one for a Henry.

    TIA

Got to love a scout scope. Send Henry an email and see if they have anything that will work. They've always been real good about getting back to me. A lot of their customer service reps are working from home.

    Good luck

I see this rail is for the H012 model.
Please read carefully before making your purchase. To optimize accuracy, Henry scope mounts are available on this page for the following models: H001, H002, H003, H004, H005 and H006G/H012G/PG/X. If your model is not listed, please skip to the bottom of the page. Instructions on installation of the scope mount is provided in the packaging. All Henry scope mounts accept Weaver style detachable 1" top mount rings (rings not included). Picatinny-style rails in particular accept Weaver or Picatinny style top mount rings as well as red dots. Screws are included with the mounts. Note to Big Boy Owners (H006 Series) Previous production from pre-2011 (or 1st Generation) Brass Big Boy rifles were drilled and tapped on the barrel under the rear sight, they were NOT drilled/tapped on the receiver. You will need to use BB-CSM for 1st Generation H006 Brass Big Boy series. In 2011 we began shipping 2nd Generation Brass Big Boy rifles which feature receivers that are drilled and tapped for the scope mount. For 2nd Generation Brass Big Boys you can use either the BB-RSM (Weaver-style) or BB-RSMP (Picatinny-style) rails. 2nd Generation Brass Big Boys start with the following serial numbers: H006 = BB0047222H006M = BB0015530MH006C = BB0021188C ALL H006G/H012/H012G/PG Big Boy Series guns are 2nd Generation. The BB-CSM measures out at 5 5/8" with 2 fixed slots. The BB-RSM measures out at approximately 4 5/8" with 2 fixed slots. The BB-RSMP measures out at approximately 4 5/8" with 11 adjustable slots. If you would prefer a solid ring and base set piece as opposed to a Weaver or Picatinny base for your 2nd Generation Big Boy, you'll want to take a look here. Note to Golden Boy Owners (H004 Series) H004 Series guns with a Brooklyn, NY rollmark on the barrel were not drilled and tapped for a scope mount. If your gun is NOT from Brooklyn, NY you can use the GB-CSM or GB-CSMP mounts for the H004 series guns. The drilled and tapped holes are located under the rear sight. If you're unsure on how to remove the rear sight, you can watch an instructional video here: Rear Sight Removal and Base Installation The GB-CSM measures out at approximately 5 7/8" with 2 fixed slots. The GB-CSMP measures out at 5 7/8" with 10 adjustable slots. We also offer our 201M set of rings to attach to both the GB-CSM and GB-CSMP mounts on their page here. Note to Henry Classic, U.S. Survival Rifle and Henry Pump Owners (H001, H002, H003 Series) The receivers on the H001, H002, and H003 series rifles have a 3/8 inch dovetail running along the top of the receiver. You can use the HLPA001 Picatinny adaptor listed on this page to convert the 3/8 inch groove to 1 inch slots for if you wish to mount a red dot optic, or Weaver/Picatinny rings for a scope.  Measures out at approximately 4 1/2" with 11 adjustable slots. If you are putting this rail on the H002 U.S. Survival rifle, they will have to be removed before disassembling back into the stock. If preferred, you can use 3/8 inch rimfire rings which attach directly to the dovetail, sold in the Henry Outfitters store here. Weaver and Picatinny rails are also available as separate listings for the models below in the Henry Outfitters Store: H009G/PG/X Series (Lever Action .30-30/.35 Rem/.360 Buckhammer/.38-55)H010G/PG/X Series (Lever Action .45-70)H018G/X Series (Lever Action .410)H024 Series (Lever Action .30-30/.35 Rem/.360 Buckhammer/.38-55/.45-70)All of these series take the Weaver 63B pattern, offered with our HEGW9/10PR rails here. H014 Series (Long Ranger .223, .243, .308, and 6.5 Creedmoor)These take a unique pattern found in our aluminum HEGW14PR rails here, and our steel HLRPR001 rails here. H015 Series (Single Shot Rifles/Shotguns)Our Single Shots take the Weaver 82 pattern, found in our HEGWH15PR/SG rails for rifles and shotguns respectively here. Please note that both the Weaver 63B and 82 respectively are both common patterns that you may be able to find in your local gun shop or sporting goods store.

UPDATE: Emailed Henry, and they don't make one, don't seem to have plans to make one, and don't know if there is a vendor option.

I also emailed XS Sights, and they said they do not make one either. I asked if they had any plans to make one, but no response yet.

Some of the Rossi's have holes drilled and tapped under the rear sights. Do you see anything like that?

          Maybe consider a red dot.

Tagged. Hoping you will find a solution. I would like a scout rail on mine as well. That would be slick.

Unfortunately, still no luck. Might try to prototype one with a 3D printer, see how it goes.

Ask Ranger Point Precision if they have one planned maybe?

                    Check egwguns.com. Found a rail for my Marlin 1895G & put a Leupold VX-3 2.5-8x30 on it. With Leverevolution ammo, it’s a 200-yard gun. But I digress...

I just checked the EGWguns.com website and they make a rail for the Henry Big Boy, Model H012. Henryusa.com says the Big Boy X Model in .357 mag has a Model # of H012MX. Among the pictures are two diagrams of the rail with distances between the screw holes. Check it out and measure against the screw holes on your receiver. If it works on your gun, the best part is the rails are in stock AND it’s only $30!

This^^^^or, go to the "Henry Rifle Forums" site. You'll likely get answers over there.

Thank you, but what I am looking for is a Scout Rail, which would mount from the receiver to the dovetail for the buckhorn. I could then mount a long eye relief scope on the rail forward of the receiver. Like this:

I may need to go conventional, since there doesn't seem to be another option.

The only other place I know of is midwestindustriesinc.com. Click the drop-down “gun type” link just below the header at the top left, and select “Henry”. They make three different m-lock rails, maybe one is for your rifle....

A cautionary note on the above.. They are difficult to self-install, I've read. This meaning a gunsmith may be necessary due to the manner in which Henry installs their forends. .

Pretty sure that is the same rail that Henry sells. It goes on the receiver. I have one. Put a red dot on it
