I think it's a throw it against the wall and if it sticks, sell it, mentality. That's how gunmakers go out of business.

That has always been a turn off for me on non-military arms. Gorgeous 336 btw!

I've noticed that older firearms design leads to a rifle that is balanced. Usually slim and not many if any "Things that stick out and poke you in the back or side."

In short. very easy to carry by hand or sling.

Tactical stuff seems to always fatten a rifle. Throw off the balance and poke you when you try to carry it with a sling and be unbalanced when carried one handed.

I like the older thought process better.

Y'all, I have an announcement to make. I've noticed plenty of rail-mounted toasters. AR-mounted toasters from Magpul, Surefire, and Aero Precision. But we are not savages. We are not men born of timid dry bread eaters!

At SHOT Show 2021, I am rolling out the Picatinny Butter WARmer. Fully enclosed to prevent product loss, the PBWAR mounts on an ultra-low-profile Picatinny mount made of 5150 steel with a saline-infused molybdenum/rhodium core, deburred for OPERATOR safety and comfort. I offer it in Char Toast Black(tm), FDE, and all-new Tactical Periwinkle.

Simply add two 1-tbsp pats of butter, and allow your mag dump to heat the butter to perfection. Open the PBWAR QD Lever (constructed of one solid piece of finely machined granite), and the warm butter splashes onto your toast.

Guys, I wasn't going to tell you this, but I know Calguns deserves to know first. PBWAR v2.0 is expected to have an auto-sensing hygrometer! When your bolt carrier group's lubrication drops below safe levels, PBWAR v2.0 will open and - via injector - dump the boiling butter into it. Bad for your toast, but combat requires sacrifice.

(MLOK $14.95 extra, and KeyMod for those loons at BCM for $45 even).

What scope is it? Looks like Redfield, but it has long eye relief.
