I'm going to put some glass on it. 1.5X? Just don't see that swell these years. PAX

      41 Magnum you say?

Send pictures of the Reloading Bench, not the guns.

I'd use that Savage as the primary always first. While I enjoy owning various weapons centered around "handgun" cartridges, IMO they are short range (inside 100 yards) hunting weapons at best for anything deer-sized, to include feral hogs, and other critters with tough hides.
I think the various manually operated carbines, in all forms, that use potent handgun cartridges really stand out as defensive weapons in locales wherein other weapon types are otherwise not available. It is for this reason that a well thought out firearms battery should include such.

Words of wisdom right there. Nicely said.

My sentiment exactly. Companion to my Blackhawk as my Rossi is to my Rossi. 357 mag. They're both great setups. PAX

              Absolutely!

But what I’m hearing you say is that I should buy that Hi Point carbine in 10mm...?

I wasn't aware that HiPoint produced a manually operated 10mm carbine.
If it's a semi/full Auto we can take it to that forum section.

I have about decided to stop buying guns inmy retirement and have passed some along to my son and daughter...but the .41 Mag carbine makes me say, "Hmmmmm." It has been a favorite cartridge of mine since my high school graduation present of a Ruger Blackhawk in .42 mag. I passed that along to my daughter but I still have my 4-inch Model 57.

Are the .41 Henry's available in So Cal or do you have to order one? What is the going price?

Check Whitiker guns and Budsgunshop. Maybe Tombstone Tactical.

Mine was $794 OTD, tax, license, dealer prep, and DROS. It happened to be on the shelf when I had the ducats. PAX

Love .41 Magnum, my favorite cartridge by far (except for .22 LR )

Here are Marlin and Henry .41 Magnums, except now Henry wears Leupold VX-Freedom 1.5-4x20mm scope with Pig-Plex Reticle, same as on my Marlin .41 Magnum. Revolvers are .41 Magnum too. Marlin was converted from pistol grip to straight stock.
If you still have the pistol grip stock and lever I am very interested. I want to convert my .45 Colt model 94 straight stock to pistol grip.

Congrats on the new rifle, those Henry's are very nice. I've been lusting after the .410 model!

Henry has some sort of newer version of the 410 lever gun I think. I forget what it is.
edit: oops, my mistake. The new Henry Garden Gun lever shotgun is a .22 smoothbore.

I thought for pest control it would be a .410.

I can imagine a new owner trying to find.22 shotshells these days.
