    That is my quandary. The top one is beautifully figured, but the straight grain of the bottom one more closely matches the forestock.

    I like the top one better on its own, but the bottom one more closely matches the existing.

    The top one, for sure! That grain is real nice.

    I would keep the bottom one for another project, or as a 'just in case'.
