You should buy it. Approaching 65, your time is in the sunset years of hunting and physical ability. I'm about ten years behind you, and don't hesitate to do something "just because". That beautiful double is also another great way to pass wealth to your children, tax free. It reminds me of a friends Merkle .470NE, and my H&H. You could be using it this fall. Good luck.

If you look at the picture the stock cheek piece is for a left handed person. Also, the front trigger is usually moved a few millimeters to the right for a right hander so one does not discharge both barrels with trigger finger slipping to the second trigger. For a lefty the triggers are reversed in positioning. Usually they just switch the front and back so the offsets are reversed.

I am left eye dominant.

Box of 20 of Hornady 570 grainers cost $164. The gun is regulated for Hornady ammo. I reload so I would develop a round that emulates that with 570 grain Cutting Edge bullets. Cost would go down by a third, but more important it would be with bullets I have already taken down elephants with before.
