Sweet, that makes me a long range shooter with an AK!

For the OP: these days you can buy a reasonably priced off the shelf rifle and ammo that will shoot sub-moa. For instance the Bergara HMR Pro or Steyr Pro THB.

In this TFB Review, we take a look at the Bergara HMR Pro 6.5 Creedmoor after mounting 2 different riflescopes on it and shooting it for accuracy as well as taking it on a sheep hunt in Iowa.

This new THB Pro in 6.5 CM is Steyr’s closest yet replacement for the SSG-69

There is also Sako TRG/Tikka t3

Longrange technically starts at 800 because there are no NRA standard target distances between 601 and 799.
600 is the END of midrange.
      Longrange is 800-1000.
Since there are no coverage of 600-800, I lump them into longrange.
Others may lump them in to midrange.

If you want to drive and camp out, we'll be shooting all weekend in Cuyama.

We'll be shooting a 600 yard match Saturday morning, a 1,000 yard match on Saturday afternoon and a Palma 800, 900 & 1,000 yard match on Sunday morning.

Plenty of full custom and modified factory rifles to check out.

A little short notice but theres an NRL Borderwars match tomorrow at Pala if you want to come out I will have a Bighorn in an MPA chassis and you are welcome to get behind it. I'll also have a curtis custom in an MDT ACC you can get behind after the match during rec shooting if you want. There will be a ton of nice rifles there in probably just about every configuration you can think of.

I've been really happy with mine. It's crazy smooth and very fast. Between the Bighorn and Curtis, the Curtis gets the nod from me in almost every aspect. Bolt lift is a tiny bit heavier if you want to sit there comparing them side by side, but when running the bolt in a match setting, its negligible and completely outshined by the fact that nearly everything else about the action runs better. That's not to say that there is anything wrong with the Bighorn, both are great actions. But if I had to pick one, I'd pick the Curtis.

I've not used a Terminus action but yes Joel did design multiple curtis actions and owns the patents (which is why the Terminus actions are practically the same as Curtis, with a few tweaks and improvements). I have run 6 creedmoor and now running 6BRA through my Curtis and I have not experienced any feeding issues, but I think more options are generally a good thing.
