    New Savage rebates

Since almost everyone on this forum is a big Savage fan, here are their new rebates:

Take advantage of Savage Arms promotions and rebates. Submit your rebate online or by mail for extra savings on firearms. Valid in the USA and Canada.

Definitely check these out. When I bought my Savage, Sigstroker pointed me to the rebate. I went through the hoops, and it took a while to get it, but I received a gift card. It was enough to take a goodly chunk out of my last ammo purchase, so it was worth the effort.

Note: Be sure to check the expiration date on the gift card--they don't last forever.

      Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

According to CA law, gift cards can NOT expire.

Hmmm? The card I received had an expiration date on it. Could have been just a generic card for those states that do allow them to expire?

It's good to know gift cards do not expire in CA.

IIRC they don't call it a "gift card". I remember at the time that I got a rebate from someone else(Savage sent me a check), that the card had a clever name on it, likely to evade expiration laws. At any rate, you should spend/deposit it before the date to be safe.

BTW, most businesses that do bidness in CA don't even bother to put dates on their gift cards. I got one for a national chain restaurant about 5 years ago. I used it this year in a different state, no issues with it at all.

Gift cards bought in CA don't expire. Gift cards bought in other states are bound by the laws of the state they were bought in.

Debt cards issued for rebates are not considered gift cards.

I just use gift card and debit card things like that for fuel, right away. Easier than losing them or having them do some funny expiration thing when you forget about them.

Yes. I am the King of Procrastination, and have let too many gift card/rebate/bonus things expire worthless.
