    There's a fella on SnipersHide, who has flats near the muzzle for most of his barrels, so he can do quick barrel changes out in the field. It's torqued in. he uses ~40ft/lb and seems to work for him.

    I don't have enough knowledge or experience to know if this is OK or NOT, but just an idea for you to explore.
