The new gun offers the best of both worlds. I think their going to introduce them slowly.

Yep. Thanks Mark for re-posting that. I'm sure Henry will be offering the side gate in handgun calibers soon. My opinion only tho. Hope they do.

Need side loading gate in other models calibers, specifically .44 mag, case hardened... I will buy it. While there are at it .357 pump, .44 pump action yep thats the ticket.

I'd be willing to bet that they are waiting for their stock of pistol caliber lever guns to be sold before introducing them with side gates. Why would anyone ever buy one with tube loading only if they had the option of a side gate?
Thats why they are only being offered if "off-calibers" right now. Well, except 30-30.

I think you may be right. That's a double edged sword. People will wait for the side loaders unless they have a blowout sale at prices you can't refuse.
