I'm asking this is this forum because of the precision-minded folks here.
I guess SIG is about to bring out a new line, or new models, of its scopes because some Tango6 models are on sale. These retail for over $2500 and are on sale in various places for over $1000 discount. I've always admired the Tango6 line because of the 34mm tube and the electronic anti-cant indicator that you see in the scope's view.
A few questions about this one in particular. I know 44mm isn't the biggest objective, but adequate?
Also it's only 3-18x and it seems most PRS guys use 20 to 25x or more on the top end. But I also often hear they dial down to 16 to 20x for the shooting. Would that put this 18x in the ballpark, or would I similarly need to dial down to 12 to 14x on it?
The Christmas tree reticle available is only moa, and while I'd rather have mil, I can adapt to save a grand on the price. I think?
Since I've never spent more than 300 bucks on a scope (I'm super cheap on scopes but have had great luck so far) it gives me the shakes to think about spending 4 figures on one, but at least these are high quality and have a lot of features.
