I use a piece of pure-copper Chore Boy wrapped around a bronze brush to remove lead buildup when it might occur.

Ye 'olnew 1894CSBL shoots well again. Not as much lead in it as I expected, only pushed out a couple of completely dark gray patches of slag before it started to come out halfway clean. I'll finish with a proper cleaning and start from scratch again, but the Bayou Bullets subsonic loads I shot today held to a quarter size or so at 20 yards with a 3MOA red dot on it, which is better than can be expected for that dot and offhand. My 40 S&W AR carbine with a 2moa dot was a bit tighter.

Main priority was finishing the 243 load development for this deer hunt I leave on in a week. It shot 0.77 and 0.91, so I'm happy with it. Back to the lever loading in a couple weeks.

No kidding Mark! Now that this house of ours no longer leaks and the walls are fixed, I'm a needing to shoot. I have a few other minor irons in the fire, and Mark, we'll certainly wait till you're good to go. No rush. I'll give you a jingle Mon. Alright you lever lovers, lets hear some updates. Got some good news from Browning/Winchester today. My 92 has been fixed and shipped.

These are the times when UPS really ticks me off. I waited all day for my gun to be delivered. Next thing I know the UPS web page says that they "Attempted Delivery" ..my whole family was home all day, I was in my garage with the door open during the time they claim to have attempted delivery. Of course a call to complain lands of deaf ears.

Now I get to wait all day tomorrow for delivery.

Purrrrtttyyy!!! Going to have to put some kind of optic on it. Just noticed that there's a chip in the front of the rear sight blade that won't affect function but may as well upgrade!
