I personally dont like the At-One. Its very blocky and looks like a colorful 2x4. The rest of the Boyds line up is pretty great though. Id look at either the classic or the lightweight thumbhole version if they offer it in your Ruger.

The At-One stock is a little blocky and seems to be geared for a bench style shooting... I have it on my RA .308 and it looks nice but in hind sight I wish I would have gone with a more traditional stock from Boyds...

Looks like it was influenced by Picasso's Cubism period.

          Another vote for boyds...
I personally don’t own one but hear from other owners they are top notch...
I have considered buying one a few times but the stocks in my rifles are fine so it was just for fun and used the funds elsewhere...
I think Boyd’s would be my first choice if I needed a stock

I got a Magpul stock for mine and love it! You can use AICS mags with the Magpul. Much better than the rotary mags from Ruger. I don't think you can use AICS mags with a Boyd's.

Boyd has other stocks for the Ruger Merican, not just the at one. Look at the Prairie Hunter style stock from boyds.

Does your American have the stock with the interchangeable butt-end? (The one with 4 inserts to alter LOP/cheek height).

I saw that on the .17HMR American, and I like the idea...

I've written up my ongoing adventures as I learn to hunt.

Yes, you CAN fit a case of shotgun shells into a .50cal ammo can.

I think i found an optimal solution for ammo can labeling.

I made this target for the NRA's Marksman pistol test. I think it's a lot better than the paper plate they suggest.

I think that is only on the rimfire models. My .22LR standard does.

I have a long action. Magpul only makes short action stocks. If they made a long action the search would be over

I think you might be on to something....

I like it for some odd reason, but it doesn't look like it would be comfortable to walk around with/shoot.

Yup and they won't sell it to CA residents. Why, because thumbholes on bolt action rifles are evil features.

You could always strawman it for 5 bucks.

The problem with the RAs I have is the rotary mag indexes on the stock - not the action. Mounting screw toi tight or too loose rounds won't cycle properly. Hate that.
