    Good luck
The Winchesters come and go depending on what Miroku is building. I picked up a 44 a while back from buds in the $800s. May involve waiting for 4 to 6 months for the next wave of imports. ( based on notifications I currently have for the 357 version )

Looks like riflegear has one in stock right now for $930.

Miguel! El Squid, my good man. You would most certainly SUCK if you were to get your hands on a Miroku Win 92 in .357... you would, see.

But, seriously, I hope you don't have to wait much longer. And I wanna shoot it!

      Meanwhile...

I sawr today in an email version of NRA's Shooting Illustrated, the Henry Lone Ranger in 6.5, .308, etc... holy cow. That would be my next Henry. I shot my .22 WMR H001M today. Neat lil' plinker until I can spend some alone time with it to sight it in better. I had several firearms with me at Angeles today, mainly to dial in my .44 Marlin SBL. Oh, she's comin' along! just fine and LOVES 19 grains 2400 under a 240 grain XTP.

      blah blah blah

I like the wooden cradle that holds his rifle...simple, and effective.

Thanks. Garage sale delight, $5! Probably, hmm, 30 years ago. Works.

Wow! Looks good, there, Tom! Did you shoots those groups in your kitchen?

Looks like that load settled right down with .5 grain less Unique. Wonder what speed that 250 travels from that dose in .45 Colt brass. It's worth 950+ fps in .44 Special brass.

The one thing a heavy .45 Colt slug has going for it is momentum.

Yep, in the kitchen! Wife was a bit P.O.'ed!
Just kidding folks. Indoor range, 25 yards is as far the range goes.
The 7.5gr Unique was not bad, but, 8.0gr is the "cloverleaf" in that group/big hole. I am going to load some 8.5gr Unique and see how that works. Very happy with this new Henry and loads. Fun times! Lever Loniness!

...Very happy with this new Henry and loads. Fun times! Lever Looniness!

My Lyman 50th Edition for the 45 Colt (Rifle Data) shows 8.2, 9.0 and 8.5 grains Unique as max loads under two different 250 LRNFP and a 255 lswc, respectively, so you're right on the money. If you can get a mould# I can verify which dose is which.

Well, dagnabbit, I was at Angeles yesterday, again (went last Thursday), to try some 270 grain Speer jacketed flat points in my 16" .44 over both 2400 and Viht N110. Need to test another few doses of these powders under that bullet, but it looks promising. Of course I won't be able to hunt with it in CA, but for silhouettes and personal defense, a 270 grain travelling 1500 fps is a formidable defense.

I'll tell you what this stainless .44 lever carbine really likes: 19 grains 2400 under a 240 jhp. 1500 fps there, too, and very consistent. It's almost cheating, it's so hard to miss.

Chris, my bullet is Missouri Bullet, 250gr RNFP, .452", Brinell 12. It also says "Cowboy #1". So far, so good. I won't go any higher than 8.5gr Unique in this rifle with that bullet.[I don't think] Way too much fun to shoot!

Roger that. So, if your rifle doesn't like that heavier pile of Unique, you can try 8.2 grains. By the way, it looks like your 8.2 - 8.5 load under that 250 is worth 1100 fps, depending. Nice. You could easily take larger, fleet, edible game with it when in another State.

Spot on Chris! 8.2-8.5 is what I'm thinking. And IF I ever hunt again, it will be in another state. I already have two rifles in Idaho.
