Lever or Pump

Neither. I don't like a pump on a rifle because it can mess with my rest, especially because I'm often shooting off fence posts, and tree crotches.

I don't like a lever because I'm often shooting from prone. Bolt for me.

If I had to choose I'd say lever would be easier to work around.

Lucky to own a pair of Timberwolf .357 pump carbines; those are lots of fun!

Learned on my Dad's old Mossberg bolt 12G. It sounds odd, but that shotgun swings and shoots nice, for the first shot. The bolt made for a slow follow up shot. I think it is a 185 or a 195 model

My dad got me the bolt to learn on so I wouldn't burn too much ammo while learning. I showed him - I got at least two rounds off on every dove, sometimes three. I was racking that bolt like a wild man.

I have both but for this lefty this Remington 760 carbine is just deadly fast and accurate.

Ahh yes, the gun responsible for the 1968 GCA. James Earl Ray used one.

I have a Henry .22LR pump. Every time I shoot this little gem, it puts a smile on my face.
