Portable "tree branch" rest for practice?

Let's say one wanted to practice at a square range.

Let's say one wanted to practice shooting from improvised rests, like tree branches.

Let's say one normally drives a bright red Kia Soul to the range.

Can anyone suggest a good, portable "tree branch" type rest? I could make something out of a real tree branch and a christmas tree stand, or something... but I'd like to go with a product made by people who actually know what they are doing. :-)

How about shooting sticks or even a walking stick with a rifle cradle attachment?

No idea why the gen 2 is more than the gen 3 but here's the link. Get the tall tripod, i believe it's up to 62" high. I started using it to support my binos for glassing and it's great.

I would go with shooting sticks, I always carry them in my pack, the ones that fold up. They really help for the longer shots.

Shooting sticks, we have, and we used while hunting.

This is for a more improvised mount, while leaning against a tree, or while practicing for such a situation.

just a suggestion. Carry your rest with you and practice using it.

Loop your sling around the post at the range and pull tight.

We've been using the posts at the range... although using a sling like that hadn't occured to me. Thanks!
