I would beg to differ on your #2 choice. Had him cerokote a new action I had and his 1st attempt was shotty. Barely coated and had him re-do it. Second time he cerokoted INSIDE the action which I specifically told him not to do. I wouldn't trust him with anything other than selling factory rifles.

Randall on the other hand did a great job rebarelling a Remington 700 I had.

If Randall is busy, I'd look at Mark at Sinister Arms in Newbury Park. Did an excellent job building me a rifle. Not cheap and not the quickest turn around but was well worth it.

Can't speak for the rest of this gentleman's skills, or lack thereof, but Cerakoting is not riflesmithing. That is like comparing the guy that does mobile auto detailing to someone building a top fuel dragster engine.
