I did not see that requirement in the first post.

For a loaner it is easy to go under $1000 for a complete setup. I had my rap6.5 out yesterday to zero a scope. took me 2 shots to zero and then i did a sub moa group at 100 yards and put it away. just sent a few videos to athlon of me shooting it at 1 mile and they sent me a tshirt so i got cred at the range now.

My budget is $1000 without an optic.

        Model's I'm considering:
        Savage 110 LHR 6.5

        Savage 110 Tactical 6.5/.308

Remington 700 SPS Varmint + KRG Bravo Chassis

        Remington 700 5R Gen 2

I know Savage reworked quite a bit of their line up does anyone have any experience with them yet? The 5R is at the very edge of my budget is is worth the extra money? Are there any other rifles my price range that I should be considering?
        1) I'd go with the Creedmoor.
        2) You could go with the 6mm creedmoor for 859 at grabagun: https://grabagun.com/ruger-72.html

Bergara B14 HMR in 6.5 CM is another one I'm looking at myself.

If you want to have a taste of shooting longer distance, HOWA HCRs have a good reviews and they will not break your bank.
