I find the large loop to be pretty darn comfortable when doing rapid fire against maurading steel plates. I'll never equal Lucas McCain's volume of fire though!

Nor will anyone else pump 13 consecutive rapid fire rounds out of a .44-40. That opening scene has a two take splice in the middle of it.

Should be able to find those on Henry's website. Won't be as large.

I think you have to be pretty tall with long arms to do the Ringo Kid or Lucas McCain twirl! Both John Wayne and Chuck Conners had both going for them.

I've owned a Winchester Trapper Model 94 in .357 for some time now. Literally have to keep myself from grabbing it out of reflex when heading for the range. I've chased jackrabbits and deer with it, but no meat yet. It is the rifle I enjoy shooting the most and the one that brings the most smiles to the guests of mine at the club. A plus is that it feeds both 38s and .357s equally well.

I've been looking for a while for a longer levergun to shoot at the Lever Silhouette matches and had decided on an older Marlin, either a 336 or a 36A. Lo and behold, on Lexington and Concord Day my LGS had a 336A that was just right. I had actually been doing ok in the matches with the short barrel, hoping the 24" barrel on the 30-30 will get me up into the high 20s !
