Suggestions for Bipod and Muzzle break?

Preloading the Atlas bipod is really nice.

I own both Harris and Atlas and I prefer the Atlas every time. Only reason I own Harris is due to their being clone correct on my MK12.

Either way, it should be obvious to see that the Harris is NOT cheaper than a Atlas PSR if set up similarly - Both are solid offerings. In some ways, the Harris being faster to deploy even if more expense once set up near apples to apples my be a better choice for some shooters.

Again, I like both the Atlas PSR and Harris HBRMS

Now as far as my Area 419 HELLFIRE recommendation, the reason why I am a fan of it is because it is an excellent self-timed design, and allows for quick removal/install. I wanted a brake that can be quickly removed/reinstalled for when I need to shoot without the brake (e.g. F-Class venue).

Just a note the RRS is NOT really "exactly" Arca-Swiss plate standard; but 1.5" x 3/8" dove tail. See here http://www.reallyrightstuff.com/patents Not all Asian mfg. offerings will lock up tight. I've seen first hand someone with an Arca-Swiss dovetail and no clamp stops drop the rifle out of a RRS Clamp and off the tripod. BTW this is not unique, as several other North American mfg of super high end gear also follow the RRS 1.5" dovetail standard. Some will have warnings indicating this very issue. Might be worth correcting your webpage.

That said, a tiny bit of duck tape on often thinner Arca-Swiss style plates will work wonders.

For what it is worth, ocabj posted both the MPA chassis with an integrated Dove tail running the forearm length / RRS Leaver Release Plate and a second image showing HC-Pro on a AICS. There are two different systems and if you aren't super familiar with both Chassis could be missed. The second one, Really Right Stuff HC-PRO, referenced and has the most flexibility.

ocabj I'd still really think about the PASS connection system to your web review Great to quickly drop in the Hawk Hill spikes on some surfaces (like a pitch roof) and rubber on others.. or a necessity in others, like increase the bipod height to get over a tiny bit of grass or small rise and of course shooting to an elevated target.

Harris BRM-S and a Ross Schuler brake

A Harris SBR has served me fine for several years on this Savage 26" mod 10 308. When the Choate stock brought the total weight to 18 lbs, I never felt need for a muzzle brake shooting 168g bullets. But I would go with a brake for 300Win mag or greater.
