DBM is also Detachable magazine Bottom Metal.

Ever see magazines being sold as DBM's?
When speaking about bolt action rifles, DBM specifically refers to the bottom metal which accepts detatchable magazines, not the magazines themselves.
The magazines are simply referred to as magazines.

I think its all preference, I liked the original HS Precision stock but wanted to try something new and went with a MPA BA Chassis. Haven't got a chance to get behind it but so far I like the feel, length of pull adjustability and check riser. Way better than a pouch velcro'd on the back of the stock.
