Grand. They'll work in an RPR? I have $180 worth of AICS mags and hey are such a tight fit I have to wiggle them to get them into the magwell. Would suck to put in another $140 for more of the same.

I'd really like something that will fall out by gravity for once.

      Anyway repost- (not mine)...

Just as ar15 alluded to, shooting thru a window, peaked rooftop, fence, over a parapet, pipe, barrel, vehicle or any other barricade, a long mag sucks...

So a short 5 rounder makes sense with maybe a 2rd SAP, but on a tripod, prone, doping and/or working on wind, 10 rounders that are long work fine. Most important is that they work dirty or clean.

Just got 2 in the mail. I cycled 10 rounds through them and they fed great. AICS AT chassis, Remington 700 action, 6.5 Creedmoor. Won't get to live fire them for another week or so.

no? I think i knew that LOL --- my long mag comment and agreement was to your point....

The sticky - I must use Pmag because my RPR doesn't like the proper metal mag, was to someone else. sorry if it appeared otherwise.

Seriously guys, will they work in an RPR or not? I have the proper AICS mags, and for some reason my buddy's fall out by gravity, and the ones I bought do not. Very very tight fit. What's the point of the proper metal mag when they operate like the crappy Pmags minus feeding like an AICS should?

If legit AI mags are tight in your magazine well, then your magazine well is out of spec.
I have yet to see a legit AI magazine that was tight in a magwell that was properly dimensioned.
It's only the knock-off metal mags that have dimensional problems.

Perhaps you took your RPR apart and then did not realign the two sides of the lower aluminum pieces correctly.
This would cause the magwell to get shorter front-to-back.

I'll measure the mags -and the magwell, when I get back stateside. What should they measure? The mags, that is. Never took the ruger apart. If i file it, any easy way to touch up? Better to file on the mags?

mags are 3.055-3.057 for most of the body, the very top is 3.060.

RPR mag well is basically impossible to easily take a screening measurement with simple calipers, but kinda seems 3.056.

I realize now I didn't measure width and should have. could properly measure both.

Doesn't help me identify if my mags are genuine.... the rpr is not misaligned, but wouldn't surprise me if the well is at the low end of spec.

To keep things on topic, I actually AM interested in the ARC mags. what is the width on them? Anyone can take caliper measurements and post to compare to my mags? Genuinely curious.

gonna ask my buddy to measure his mags, the ones that drop out of my mag well on their own.
