In addition to Varget, 4064, and the others the above posters mentioned, 8208XBR and VV-N140 also work well for me (though I suspect you've got a 1:10" vs my 1:12".)

My gun loves the 178AMAX's, but I'm hesitant to rely on them (aren't they supposed to go away due to the introduction of the ELD's?)

Did they take responsibility for the 'automatic' triggers and fix it once and for all?

Don, I've been following your 5r threads. Buddy and I both got one during the sale. I think I'm going pretty much the same route as you except for a 4-16x vortex. Let us know how she shoots. Super jealous you get to make yours go boom!

I have the stock trigger in it but im going to replace it. I think it willshoot better with a better trigger. The stock trigger has a vague break. I like a sharp break. So i will probably get a timney 510.

I picked up one of these as well! What kind of ammo did you run through it?

I got an HDMR II to top mine off with. crossing my fingers it's a shooter like yours is

I ordered a 510 today. I think that will help. I really dont like the factory trigger

How much does it weigh with the scope?

I shot some 175 gr fed GMM to sight in and then went to work with my 168 gr reloads i use for my r-25. The rounds were definitely not precision loaded. (Most wouldnt even chamber after being shot in my semi) the groups on the white target are with the reloads which i find even more impressive for the afore mentioned reasons. im going to load up some hornady bthp 178 next week and take it over to angeles to see how it runs. My trigger should be here also.

Its a heavy beast. By my unscientific bathroom scale test it goes 14.5lbs with the scope.
