Correct, and since I wanted it as a hunting rifle I didn't need the chassis like the RPR. However the frame it is in looks extremely rigid, I'll let you know this week how it holds up.

The LRP is about $2400, and the LRC is about $1900. The B-14 HMR doesn't look bad but its not in a chassis system. The HMR goes for about $900, not too bad.

BMP is in a chassis for about $1300. The HMR is supposed to have a mini chassis however.

The more "basic" rifles like my B14 Timber are in the $900-1000 range (worth it for sure) and they go up from there (to about $5K).

The HMR uses a mini-chassis. Not too familiar on stock setups and any reservations from a mini-chassis vs an aluminum bedding block? Or are they the same thing just with different nomenclature?

It is indeed just different nomenclature. The term "chassis" is hot right now, and it probably sounds more attractive to would-be consumers than "bedding block." Smart move on their part. I believe the HMR stock is injection molded, so it's probably not as rigid as an equivalent fiberglass stock that has a mini-chassis/bedding block. That may not play a significant role in the accuracy of the rifle, though. I don't have any experience with this gun, so I can't say for myself. The price certainly is right, though.
