I put the 72 on my AR 308 and it's awesome. I read a lot of reviews and was kind of reluctant because of all of the stories of it being horrendously loud and having a big blast of wind in your face. I ended up getting it because of the new stupid laws and because any brake you put on is going to be loud anyways.
My barrel 20" and I can honestly say that I didn't notice any sound difference between the a2 flash hider and this brake......But I can't speak for people to the sides. The big blast of wind in the face was noticeable, but not too much of a distraction behind the scope. I will say that recoil reduction and ability to see my hits in the scope were PHENOMENAL. If your main goal is recoil reduction.....I would say absolutely go for the 72. The accu washer system is a little expensive, but it made timing the brake a breeze. Also.....you can use the rest of the washers to install up to 9 other muzzle devices.....so with the new featureless revolution coming.....other washers may come in handy

Also....look for google images of the m11 actually installed.....its ginormous .......not sure if you would like the asthetics of it or not. There is a pic in this thread for reference

    See what you think

Have you looked at the little bastard brake? Makes my .338 shoot like a .308

My wife thinks I only have 3 guns

what about the standard pws brakes, lantac 762 or surefire?

Would they work differently on bolt actions opposed to semi autos?

I use this on my 700. It really tames the recoil. Aesthetically pleasing as well.

Great question. Had an opportunity come up to purchase something thats been high on my list for a long time, a Springfield Professional 1911. I also purchased a Browning Citori 725. DROS'd them one day apart. Have to part with some of my "extras" to justify the five thousand bones I'm spending. Also, I'd like to note I listed a few things for sale (one of my Glocks, one of my 12 gauge shotguns, some accessories) they don't all need to sell, but its what I was willing to part with.

Also on that note... I went with the M11 from Precision Armament.
